Telephone :021 684 885
If you speak to me by phone, I can briefly discuss your reasons for wanting couples counselling, give you a sense of the number of sessions that might be needed, and discuss times for an appointment that would best suit you. Leave me a message if necessary and I’ll get back to you if you’re in NZ, usually the same day.
Skype, Zoom or Whereby: Online counselling
If contacting me by phone seems difficult or uncomfortable, then by all means email me. I clear my emails most weekdays. My preference is to counsel face to face rather than by email, so email is really a means to just touch base. The relationship I form with you is important to a successful outcome, and this is more easily developed face to face or via Skype, zoom or Whereby.
Skype, Zoom or Whereby will enable you to work with me from anywhere in the world. You can download these for free, or I can send you a contact for any of these via your email.

Alternatively, you can call me on 0064 (New Zealand) 21 684 885 and I will talk you through the process of installing any of these online tools before our first session.
Hours, fees & cancellations:
- Most couples sessions are for one hour, sometimes longer by negotiation. Many couples find it useful to have one and a half hour sessions so that they get into the work quickly.
- Cost is just $160 for a one-hour session. Payment by internet transfer or cash at the end of each session.
- Hours are: 11.00 am – 7.00 pm, Monday – Thursday
- I work from rooms at the canterbury men’s centre opposite the Palms mall.
Please note that cancellation must be made more than 48 hours before a session so that the time can be made available to others. Late cancellations and forgotten appointments will incur a full fee, so please let me know if rescheduling would be a good move.
The location of my therapy rooms is at the Canterbury Men’s Centre, 21 Marshland Rd, Shirley, Christchurch. Opposite the Palms Mall at the traffic lights on Marshland Rd.
